Bravo 2 finds themselves back in the action again, this time they are after a device that was used back in WWII. They don't have any idea about the device, and are soon contacted by Special Operations Division. Things start to take a turn for the worse when the weapon falls into the wrong hands; if Bravo 2 don't find the device soon, their home will be a pile of bricks. Bravo 2 are back, and are wanting to go home more than ever. I heard people saying that this was better than Modern Warfare 2 and certainly in some regards they are correct. A novel in gaming is that with explosives and armoured vehicles you can partially (and eventually) destroy part or all of a building. I'm sure this will catch on with newer games. The game though does suffer some major flaws in an attempt to be better than MW2.<br/><br/>Whilst in MW2 on Team Death Match people can be selfish and be rewarded for it, Battlefield rewards you for working as a team. But unless you're all friends in the team and have headsets on, there's no way you can. The result is that by not working as a team it will be very hard to get any points and therefore progress through the ranks will be very slow. In effect, you're team mates can be selfish and you get punished for it - I'll explain a bit more later.<br/><br/>At the start of the multiplayer you get to choose either of four roles; assault, medic, engineer or recon. As you progress these classes can be upgraded. To do well points-wise you must do that role. e.g. engineer must repair team vehicles, destroy enemy vehicles. So here's three more flaws of the game. 1. You can't do that role until the next rank, which means getting absolutely slaughtered. 2. If you're in a map where there are no vehicles then getting points will be very difficult apart from killing people. 3. The guns you start off with are sh!te. Don't be surprised if you only get one kill and 13 deaths.<br/><br/>There are only 5 online maps, which means boredom sets in quite quickly. The matchmaking is very poor. Expect as a nubie to be put into games of very high rankers who have much better guns with 3 or 4 times the range (note snipers are very overpowered).<br/><br/>In short, this game is good with some very good concepts but doesn't reward new players quick enough, and too many will be put off by the shear overpowering experienced players. But perhaps this game gives you a more realistic feel of warfare than MW2 does, and you will have to play differently.<br/><br/>7/10 is the highest though I've given a game even though I kept it for only two weeks before trading in. The singe player mode is actually good but often you have to die before it tells you what you need to do. Firstly I would definitely say this game is better than Modern Warfare 2, simply because of almost everything, the excellent sound affects, the incredible graphics, the scale of the online maps and the satisfaction of destruction. Maybe it's true that it's story line is not quite as good as MW2's and as well as the fact that there's not a fantastic amount of variety in the missions, but it is still a lot of fun to blow a hole in a wall or bring a house down to eye level which never seems to get old! You will experience a few funny moments in the game which you wouldn't really have in MW2 which I like, but some aren't so keen on this. Now the multi-player, this is probably the best part of this game, as this game has been built on a foundation of pure online shooters. The fact that it feels like you're in an actual battlefield at times and not on you're sofa really is impressive, the settings of the maps and the sound of distant gunfire really is extraordinary. You have slightly more limited customisation options than you get on MW2 but I don't really see that as a problem, the ability to drive tanks or fly a helicopter really makes up for it. There are some issues with lag at times but this happens no more often than on COD and can normally be settled by switching your console off and on. This really is a fantastic game especially if you regularly play online, if your bored of MW2 and fancy a change then this is a very good alternative to settle your virtual warzone itch. So If you can't play this game online maybe wait until the price drops a bit, but otherwise, what are you waiting for!
